Thank you Quaker for providing these delicious Real Medleys Multigrain Fruit and Nut Bars as part of the Quaker Challenge program.
One of the challenges I wasn’t expecting when I became a mom was to be prepared for just about everything life was about to throw my way. I remember thinking that I was ready. I was confident and ready to welcome our little boy.
Boy, little did I know that I was just about to embark on the toughest job of my life. “Unprepared” is an understatement when it came to those first couple of years as a parent.
Now that my son has grown up a bit, things are starting to get a bit easier. He can communicate with me if something is hurting and he’s able to recognize his emotions. The guessing games are rare now, which made it half the battle when dealing with full blown temper tantrums.
By trials and tribulations, I’ve learned to keep a large “just in case” bag that can hold just about everything. From a change of clothes, to wipes, to bandages and snacks, among other essential items.
One of those items we’ve recently added to our “just in case” bag are Quaker Real Medleys Multigrain Fruit and Nut Bars. They are perfect for that time between school pick-up and dinnertime. Because they are made with fruit, nuts and other wholesome ingredients, it gives me peace of mind that those are my son’s afterschool snack of choice.
Not only do they help bridge the gap for my son until dinner, but I love to snack on them too. On days when I know my lunch will be delayed due to conferencecalls and unexpected errands, I can always reach into the “just in case” bag and enjoy a Real Medleys bar. With a variety of flavor choices such as apple nut harvest, cherry pistachio and peach almond, our snacks will always be fun and full of flavor.
Quaker Real Medleys Bars are made with real fruit, real nuts and multi-grains. These bars will give you the fuel you want to take on whatever challenges the day may bring.
