The 4th of July holiday is a great time to reflect and celebrate the freedom this country has provided for us. We gather the family, laugh, create our own special moments and dishes for a carne asada feast. We enjoy the warm summer day cooling off by the pool or water slide until the sun sets and the neighborhood fireworks show light up the sky. This year’s 4th of July sangria creation was inspired by my recent trip to Hawaii. Because [yellow tail] Sangria Blanco has hints of sweet pineapple, peaches, melon and citrus, I decided to create a tropical dessert float with tangy lime sorbet. [yellow tail] Sangria Blanco is not only a perfect dessert beverage but a great accompaniment to Asian dishes such as teriyaki or sesame chicken, fragrant stir frys and flavorful sushi. I added pieces of pineapple, kiwifruit, thin slices of lime and a tangy scoop of lime sorbet to this grown up float. It’s the sweetest, perfect ending to a night of celebration with loved ones.
If you prefer red Sangria, [ yellow tail ] Sangria is a delicious mix of citrus and red wine. Because it includes rich, red berry notes, it pairs perfectly with your BBQ meats, beef and any hearty hearty meat dish. I love to enjoy it with peppercorn steak, poultry topped with sweet and savory sauces, shrimp, calamary and let’s not forget a tray of the strongest cheeses one could have. The flavors blend perfect together without overpowering one another.
Set up colorful atmosphere to a summer gathering that is elegant but informal. From grilled pizzas to lobster, your celebration will burst with excitement with fun table decorations as centerpieces. Jars filled with water and fresh herbs make beautiful low-key conversation starters. Once the sun goes down, turn on the twinkle lights or votive candles. The mood will be pleasanant and alive. A beautiful way to spend a warm summer night. Did you prepare an out of this world marinade or sauce? Send your guests home with a jar of your homemade hit. They will love a special parting gift. It’s all about creating memories and enjoying amazing food and drinks with loved ones, right?!
