I am ringing in the new year with a combination some of my favorite dessert flavors. I’m a big fan of banana bread, raisins and traditional Mexican tres leches cake. Why not whip up something amazing with all three? Making a great tres leches can be hit or miss when it comes to the bread consistency. The bread must be dense enough to absorb the milk without crumbling and getting too soggy, but still soft enough to retain the flavors and enjoy.
Chiquita Banana has a wonderful bread mix that is perfect for this recipe. By adding a handful of Sun Maid raisins and the traditional tres leches sauce, quick banana bread turns into a decadent Mexican favorite. But the combination of these amazing flavors doesn’t stop there. Chiquita Banana has teamed up with Sun Maid Raisins for Sweeter Together, a wonderful collection or recipes using the combination of these two brands. Visit the website for more recipe ideas and to download your free recipe ebook. I can’t wait to start cooking from it.
Next time you have that craving for a tres leches cake, simplify the process by using a Chiquita Banana Bread Mix and Sun Maid raisins. Preparation is effortless and the result is guaranteed to please everyone at dessert time.
