Being a bicultural Latina, I try my hardest to instill those beautiful Mexican traditions to my son that I experienced growing up. I want him to discover, enjoy and learn about them just as I did. Living is Los Angeles and finding resources to help me achieve this is simple. L.A. is a melting pot of numerous cultures, traditions, and events that occur on a daily basis. I love this city for that.
Dia de los Muertos, a holiday that in my opinion is the most traditional, is now the most popular but misunderstood. It’s not at all morbid or somber. It’s a celebration and appreciation of life by honoring our loved ones with great food, vivid colors, joyful music and pleasant aromas.
To get this message across, my Latina blogger friends and I decided to collaborate on a free ebook which includes some traditional Día de Los Muertos recipes and crafts. These delicious dishes and fun crafts can be made at home and enjoyed by your entire family as you celebrate this special holiday.

Siendo una Latina bicultural, trato con mi mejor esfuerzo inculcar esas hermosas tradiciones mexicanas a mi hijo que viví de niña. Quiero que descubra, disfrute y aprenda de ellas igual que yo. Vivir en Los Ángeles y encontrar recursos para ayudar a lograr esto es simple. L.A. es un crisol de muchas culturas, las tradiciones y eventos que se producen a diario. Me encanta esta ciudad por eso.
El Día de Muertos, es en mi opinión el día de fiesta más tradicional, el más popular, pero mal entendido. No es en absoluto mórbido o sombrío. Es una celebración y apreciación de la vida honrando a nuestros seres queridos con comida deliciosa, colores vivos, música alegre y aromas agradables.
