    While researching huitlacoche, I came upon your site. I am happy to see a Hispanic young woman share some authentic Mexican recipes. I will visit the only Mexican grocery store in our city to see if I can find some huitlacoche. And then to my surprise, I saw your recipe for caldo Talpeno. I had this in a local restaurant and it was so hearty and filling. It was served over about 1/3 cup of Mexican rice and some Mexican beans en bola. Omg! I was bowled over. I will certainly try your recipe with and without the rice and beans. I am a retired registered dietitian and am always looking for interesting and good recipes with our Mexican heritage. I live in Corpus Christi, Tx.
