My kind of $1 Menu

by nibblesandfeasts on October 22, 2010

$1 Tacos.  Yes you read correctly… no, it’s not a fast food joint dollar menu, it’s KTown Fusion Tacos.

Definition of “Fusion”: Combining elements of various culinary traditions while not fitting specifically into any. The term generally refers to the innovations in many contemporary restaurant cuisines since the 1970s. (Source)

These little gems taste like Mexico City street tacos filled with Korean love.  Take your pick:  Chicken, beef, veggie, sea food and even beef tongue.  Top this with a Hite beer and you’ve got yourself one helluva meal.

As if the tacos weren’t enough, I decided to try their Kal Bi (Marinated rib eye). Sides include Kimchi, Vinaigrette Cucumbers, Sesame Bean Sprouts, Potato Salad, Lettuce for creating tacos and 3 Special House Sauces (Sweet, Spicy and Salt)!  All included!  The sides just kept coming!!

It’s a great lunch spot for the price, especially if you have a large entourage.  Plenty of seating in the patio or grab drinks inside their lounge area.  Yes, they have Soju (check my Mango Passion Soju drink below).

Next time I'm in LA I have to check this place out. My wife and I are always looking for good eats in the LA area. It's bookmarked, thanks.
